Mahar Myeik is the MyanMar word/name I give to My Global Enterprise responsible for Asia continent includes Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Islands. This heading will be my essay of ideas to launch a world wide Enterprise with the motto of "Goodwill towards Mankind". I had huge doubt that the opposition NLD led by Aung San Suu Kyi is Communism supported by Communist China. Look, her father was the father of Burma's independence AND he was a General in the Military. The British won the War (with Burmese) and takes all and do whatever they want. It destroys the Independent nature of Myanmar. I don't blame the Burmese having doubts on the West, especially the Brits after what had happened in the past. This Rohingya thing that Indians/Bangladeshi owns of Arakan/Rakhine is rubbish. I prefer him (TMU) over her (ASSK). He (born in USA, lives in Yangon) is the grandson of UN General Secretary U Thant. Many points I agree with him but on the country's name, he (also Aung San Suu Kyi) prefers BURMA as for me I prefer MYANMAR. I think he is Buddhist just like Aung San Suu Kyi (also Buddhist) but I am Christian. Big difference. Myanmar leaders need Christian point of view.

My answer (as far as I can recollect for I've been living in USA 4 decades now) to tourist lady on Myanmar left hand & right drive steering wheels (Cars) is .. It all started with the 1st Dictator General Ne Win when he took over the Democratic Civilian Government in 1962 Military Coup (Emergency situation so he said) General Ne Win was a staunch Astrology & Superstitious General who believe if he change from left hand drive (UK/Japan) World War 2 enemies, System into right hand drive (like US newly young powerful nation) it will make his ruling over Burma longevity strongly which is true for he ruled almost 3 decades continuously. He also felt strongly over number 9 obsession which he changed during his rule in Burmese Money New denominations divisible by 9. In those times 1960s & 70s Japan gives Burma world war 2 compensations by cars n buses which happens to be right hand drive wheels thus free bees Japanese cars stuck in Burma with right hand side. Also it is more expensive for Japan to change their cars to left hand side after all it is free for Burma. As times goes by as Burmese are very KEEN on "adaptation" naturally, they perfectly adapted to right hand with right hand wheels. Hope it explains why Myanmar stuck with weird situation of Right hand way with right hand wheels.As for Yangon University the Military is extremely "sensitive" because of past students rebellion against the Military and chaos inside University compond where 44th US President Obama give a "freedom speech" at the Convocation Hall. I nickname it "44th Initiative".As for name change issue it's simple. The WEST didn't recognize because it was done during Military rule era. All politics. Not historical values. For a nation that was ruled by Military for many decades and "non politics" you have to wait for Centuries just for a name change. Reasonable?. Think!. For me CHANGE is inevitable. Even the Universe. Andaman Sea LOW tide, these white sand bars emerge all over the INLET creating islands of white sand mini beaches where one can walk through knee deep crystal clear turquoise waters all over the INLET. HIGH tide all these white sands islands submerged under the Sea.
